Join us on Sunday, October 19th. Gathering begins at 12:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Walk starts at 1:30 p.m. (URC, 100 West Main St., Somerville, NJ)
No one in this world should be hungry. That's why the Central Somerset County CROP Hunger Walk is more than just a gathering of people in a place. We're part of a movement, taking steps and raising funds together to provide meals for those in our own community who need them - and supporting programs that create greater food security in communities all around the world.
Please join in us in the fight against hunger. The steps we take and funds we raise will make a difference in the lives of others.

Sunday School & Youth Group Sock Drive
The Sunday School and Youth Group work together to provide community service throughout the year. Our annual Sock Drive begins on October 5th and will run through November 2nd. We are looking for new socks for men, women and children.
The Somerville Alliance for Food Education (SAFE) will be receiving the socks to distribute at their annual Thanksgiving Dinner at the People Care Center.
Socks can be dropped in the bin in Fellowship Hall on Sundays, or dropped at the office Monday-Friday, 9:00 am—1:00 pm.
The kids are learning how to spread God’s light out into the world by being followers of Jesus through the service projects and is one way to “love all and serve all”.
October Outreach
For the month of October, we’ll be collecting Thanksgiving items (ie: Canned Goods, Mashed Potatoes, Rice, Stuffing, Pasta, etc..). All donations will be delivered to The Food Bank Network of Somerset County.
Thanks in advance for your generosity, and to all those who have donated over the year. It means so much!
URC Little Library
We have a new addition to United Reformed Church. Our “Little Library” has been added to our front lawn. A community little library is a small, outdoor space where people can freely exchange books. The idea is simple: take a book, leave a book. It fosters a spirit of sharing, encourages reading, and strengthens the sense of community by providing access to books without any cost. Please consider donating new or gently used children’s books to help our library thrive. Books can be dropped off in Fellowship Hall after worship, or dropped at the office (M-F 9a—1p) It’s yet another way URC is contributing to our community.
Sunday School
Sunday School is back in session on Sundays at 930 am. We will continue to use our curriculum called Spark: Activate Faith. We are community-minded, Jesus-focused and we welcome all kids aged pre-k through 5th grade. Click here for a Registration Form . For more information, please call the church office at 908-725-4545.
